In general, the layout is fine. I like the name stripe down the left edge.
The background image is problematic. There’s not enough contrast between it and the highlight colors on the text. You could wash it out more or darken the highlight text colors.
Flower in the background is lovely. Green repeating stripe down the left is ugly. If it’s going to stay there, at least knock it back like you did with the flower.

I agree with Roy Sablosky. The green stripe is a bit too prominent. The background image is very classy indeed.
