Le Tour 2006

Le Tour is on. With most of the race favorites out of the race because of a doping scandal, the race is wide open. I can’t wait until the mountains to see if any of the contenders will step up or if any unknown will show up.

If you can’t watch Le Tour on OLN, you can follow it at cyclingnews.com.

Well - the one danish team - Team CSC lost its star. Now Denmark is a small country, so since we only have one dane in the tour, we adopt the stars of team CSC as danes, when they leave the team, like Hamilton did, they are of no consequence any more.

So as a dane, I was looking forward to seing Basso going heads up with Ulrich.

So I cannot say that I wasnt very sad to se Basso being kicked out - besides the Danish connection, he truly seems like a very nice guy, and that is true no matter if he uses doping or not, remember Pantani? A loveable guy, great rider, and sadly, a cheater, who paid the ultimate price for his deroute.

The good thing though is, that now the race is on, its purely about the racing, its gonna be a good couple of weeks ;)

I like CSC as well. CSC (the sponsor) used to have an office in my hometown.
